This website is privately operated and funded by a single individual.  While all attempts have been made
to make this information reliable, timely, and accurate, there are no guarantees are warranties implied.  Your
use of this data is at your own risk and should never be used to make decisions about property or personal
safety.  In fact, any weather data found on the Internet is subject to possible delays or missed communication. 
Always use more reliable media services such as local television, radio, or NOAA weather to monitor severe
weather events.

Weather Data & Collection:

The data is gathered using a Davis Vantage Pro2 located at a personal residence on the west side of Kokomo
just slightly outside the city limits.  You can see a photo of the weather station here.  Using the WeatherLink
software, data is compiled and uploaded on timed intervals.  The collection unit is solar powered and the computer
is on a small uninterruptible power supply that should provide around 30 minutes of uptime should the power
temporarily fail.  The data intervals are one (1) minute for the Cell/PDA page and five (5) minutes for the
main (index) page.

The entire process is automated and while it is checked often, there could be occasional anomalies in the data or
a breakdown in process to display the data on the website.  Apologies and disclaimers apply when that happens.

Mission & Design Statement:

My mission is to provide local weather data in a quick manor.  The main page will never feature any graphics which
will slow down loading.  The Cell/PDA page will be very minimal with data so it is convenient to use on this small
devices.  Unlike other hobbyist weather websites, I am not going to pollute the pages with dozens of graphic and
maps which are either ripped from the National Weather Service or commercial weather websites which are
tacky or laden with spyware and ads. 

When I provide data from the National Weather Service, it will be text links.  If I link to other weather related websites,
they will be carefully selected for their quality content.  You will not get bogged visiting here or every find spyware,
pop-ups, pop-unders, or annoying ads.

Privacy Statement:

Your privacy is respected and only limited anonymous data is collected to see how well used the website by various
visitors.  Nothing personal is every collected.

Linking & Hotlinks:

I welcome links to the main webpage at http://www.kokomo-weather.com.  You can be a commercial business,
government website, personal website, church, or school.  Of course you cannot claim any profits from the link.

Absolutely no hotlinks to the graphics files.  Don't do it!

Someday I might have some banners or buttons for you to use but I likely will need someone that can create them
for me as I am a terrible graphic artist.
